What is Netalive.org?

Far from the maddening crowds, a place to kick back and lead an intelligent discussion in peace. We respectfully ask the braindeads to stay outside. (New here?)

Best Good All

There's always a time when I feel that I had to be there for everyone; and in the process, be caught in the torrents of the problems that do not concern me, drown and be blindsided by my own neglected deficiencies. I am superman, and what a superman I turned out to be.

You can only help people wo ant help. It's a sad truth i've learned. There are so many people I want to pull from the currents of the gushing river, from the gale-force winds; to pull them onto dry land, wrap them in a warm, (...)

Let me start by saying that I am married, not happily, but I have been trying for a while to make things to work (for the kids). Recently, I have met a man (on the web) that I think I could be falling in love with, but I don't know how serious things would ever get with him. I have thought about divorce alot, before I met this man on the web, I even threatened to do it. but I know I could never make it without my husband, Iam a stay at home mother and I haven't worked since my first pregnancy (...)

[Rambling story as a preview.]
Last year, I was in a used bookstore with a friend. He was looking for old or interesting-looking books for some reason. Browsing the literature section, a cover caught my eye. The dust jacket (for that's what it turned out to be) was deliberately done in an old-looking, semi-ornate manner. I pulled it out and showed it to him. He thought is was neat, but nothing worth getting. I read the words on the cover.
They stated that the book had both male and (...)

What is the difference between breaking the law because it gives one a "natural high" and breaking the law to call attention to the wrongs of it? What makes one "cool" and the other one, simply a statement?

I am mulling over the concepts of my defiance and nonconformity as a whole. What differentiates one between a righteous act of defiance and a simple act of self-gratification without caring for the law or without due consideration for the interests of other people?...

A woman who refuses (...)

I never did tell you that during the last night we spent together, my consciousness was constantly invaded with premonitions. Forbidding intuitions of the future that I didn't know looked down so grimly at us.

I often stirred from my sleep that night, shifting from one position to another, I was sweating yet cold, wondering why I had to be the way I was, inflicting pain onto you so fresh it was like the first time you had been hurt. It wasn't like I cheated on you, nor was it anything close (...)

To ramble late at night, is to be human. Please forgive my ramblings, and on the same note, please forgive my being human. The human race often embarasses me.

This was inspired by a late-night thought: that who we are should matter more than what we are.

Please do not call me an atheist. Do not call me an infidel, an unbeliever, or a free-thinker. Please attach to me no definition. Instead, say that I am Erin, and within that poor word encompass all that is me, and say I am me. For that (...)
