What is Netalive.org?

Far from the maddening crowds, a place to kick back and lead an intelligent discussion in peace. We respectfully ask the braindeads to stay outside. (New here?)

Best Good All

Dear Gran-ma

Am sorry to see you suffuring, I remember you young when I was a child, you protect me and helped me as you understood that "am weak child" .....today at my age of 30 I see you lossing your charm...you are at old age in advanced years or the latte period of your life. too much changes, from vision problems with no noticeable loss of hearing. Fatigue; appetite loss; insomnia; difficulty concentrating; loss of interest in life or the ability to enjoy it; feelings of emptiness, (...)

Who would have thought that old 60's (or whenever they were made) music would be so much fun? These artists are so looked over, just because they are a good twenty or thirty years before our time. Modern music is all starting to sound the same, so I'm thinking that it's time to look back to the classics, such as,The Beatles, Billy Joel, Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, Elton John, The Rolling Stones (hehe, Mick Jagger) I cant think of anymore at the moment. But the point is, just because these (...)

Its a virus of our societies to try and save as much time as possible. Everything we do has to happen as quick and efficiently as possible. There are complete meals for the microwave, there are 300 horsepower cars, multi-functional cell phones, computers with power 98% of the users never need, all-inclusive-holidays, learning a foreign language while sleeping, audio books, that you consume like fast food... with a lil thinking about it you can add a million other things to the list. And dont (...)

I believe it was Magnifico who asked me what CTPhoenix stood for. I went through a long explanation, only to realise that I didn't understand what his own name meant.

I'm sure that many of the names on NAO were arbitrarily registered... But I would be interested to hear where everyone's name came from.

___

CTPhoenix comes in two parts. CT stands for Chrono Trigger. Some may understand, some may not. But it is a beautiful story about time travel and ending the apocalypse... Something (...)

The Pantoum is a really cool style of poetry that I was introduced to at a recent writing class session. I guess part of the story is, out teacher (not so much a teacher though, more like a guide... she can't control us ;)) went to a writers retreat in Banff, got a whole bunch of ideas and now is trying them on us.

Anyway, the Pantoum is made up of a total of twelve lines, arranged in the following pattern: six four line stanzas, no metric or rhyming scheme, but you use the second and forth (...)

I was just thinking it would be nice to require double spaced, well paragraphed posts. I have come across countless posts that I'm sure would have been interesting had I been able to read them (they were congeled into one paragraph!).

My suggestion would be to add an addendum to the rules, plus run a check. Everytime there is a line break, there should be two (with the exception of special things like quotes and code) and have it correct accordingly.

Something small, but I think it would go (...)
