What is Netalive.org?

Far from the maddening crowds, a place to kick back and lead an intelligent discussion in peace. We respectfully ask the braindeads to stay outside. (New here?)

Best Good All

I have been sick for the past four days, and am quite sick of being sick. However, I have been busy. I have seen the movies "Garden State", "We Don't Live Here Anymore", and "De-Lovely". I absolutely loved "De-Lovely". Ashley Judd completely impressed me last year in her performance as Tina Modotti in "Frida", and I found her to be equally caught up in the role of Linda Porter.

I love independent films for their honesty and the tendency for cinematic trueness to life, and all its inherent (...)

I guess you could call this a rant. In my observance of high school children and accounts through friends and news of other such, I have come to a startling yet at the same time unsurprising conclusion: As much as they tell you, women really have no clue what they want.

My primary basis for making this conclusion is the most public of all their wants, the 'right guy'. Oh, we all hear the same damn story from every one. He needs to be honest, he needs to be sweet, he needs to be loyal, he (...)

Well..Well..WellÖ I believe we have some of the same old politics going on in the Presidential race. Isn't it a shame that our President has to stoop to the level of ignorance with these anti Kerry and Athens Olympic ads? To be quite honest, I will probably not vote. I dislike Bush, and I really do not care for Kerry, although I do like Edwards. In the race to the White House, these ads really show who the responsible adult is, and itís not Bush. I will give Kerry credit, thus far, he (...)

When I started reading this post I thought to myself what the hell is he talking about? Then I got kind of pissed at what I considered not being informed. Then I read some replies and started to feel sorry that I felt that way; actually, thought I might reply with a come on why donít we kiss and make up NAO isnít known for umbrageous attitudes. However the replies kept going and going again I found myself getting pissed when I finally got to the end I felt a whole new post was in order I (...)

I admit it. I love color. Everyone. There isn't a color I haven't met that I don't want to explore, dance around in and play with. It's the biggest major addiction in my life. I want to taste what it feels like to be that color...make it melt into nothingness and then re-surface how ever it will.
I tend to see white as something that's asleep and waiting for some passing color to wake it up, like sleeping beauty or Rip Van Winkle...it's amazing when you see it happen.
For as long as I can (...)

Golly, I feel like this is exactly what the world needs right now.
Some people think the Olympic games are about proving that you're the
best and everyone else is a pussy and should die. Actually, it's
about much more than that. It's a little healthy competition to teach
us that some countries really ARE better than others. If you're born
in a country that doesn't win a lot of medals you really don't deserve
democracy or human rights. In fact a country with a lot of medals
might just (...)
