Anybody who has strong shristian belifs may not want to read this. In other words, im trying to cover myself hear...Please dont kill me!!
What do people think about this?
I have a few religious friends and relatives who when i questioned responded with, its not wrong but its not right. Or something along those lines.
These people are generally quite open-minded and non-judgemental.
Are there any christians out there? What do you think? Are there non-christians...What do you think?

Since I'm a Christian Libertarian, I'm quite open about this issue. People have a right to live an "alternate lifestyle" if they want to, but I also have a right to call that sin. Nobody has a right to push their immorality on me, but they have a right to live an immoral life if they want to.
In God We Trust, all others must pay cash.
Nobody has a right to push their immorality on me, but they have a right to live an immoral life if they want to.
Allowing them to live their alternative lifestyle, but inwardly cheering that they're going to burn in hell isn't that libertarian is it?

i was brought up christian but have always resented it for its dogmatic opression, hypocricy, predujice..amomst other things...
Seen all that in the humans "practicing" "christianity"....the majority of them....
I really can't conceive of a superior being having a problem with any loving committed relationship.
quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
I can pray they'll turn from their wicked ways.
And you're being non-judgmental and very considerate and open-minded here, right?
For those of you who don't know, homosexuality (just like alcoholism) is mostly genetic... its a sexual persuasion not a preference
There's no sense in discriminating on the basis of genetics... thats like discrimination against women, or against minorities
And anyways, whats wrong with homosexuality... just because a millenia-old book (thats not even right, a lot of the time -- want examples of this, check Genesis... it says the earth was created before the stars, and we all know thats crap) says it is wrong, should that decide your beliefs for you: step back and take an objective look at homosexuality, and then make up your mine. Think for yourself; don't let religion think for you
(In case you haven't figured it out, I'm athiest and happy about it)

I don't think it's religion that leads our opinions about homosexuality. It's just that it is not the "normal way". It has no meaning for mankind (I mean: homosexuals can't have children).
Sometimes the behaviour and prejudices towards homosexuals reminds me of the persecution of the Jews... :(
