DokuWiki markup

?% | 2

What would be really comforting: Using DokuWiki markup instead of SimpleHTML/BBCode to highlight and create links inside this message board.

To avoid discrepancies, this feature should be activated seperately for each user in his / her Settings page. Or maybe specifically for each single post, like the 'Mail me when someone replies'-Notification below this input field ;)

Re: DokuWiki markup

That looks familiar, like Java code. There were similarities, as I viewed the website referred to.

I'm not a programmer, by the way. I claim to know nothing.:)

Re: DokuWiki markup

Wow, I think that'd require some serious coding work. Aren't you happy with PocketHTML? :-)

I dont think so. We could simply write a PERL port of the DokuWiki Markup-parser.

Not really. Wiki markup in general is quite fast and efficent. Stuff like this:

**lets highlight** '''this''' text ..

is by far much easier to write than having to use pseudo-HTML code. Also it doesnt break the flow of writing ;)
